Arici Andrea

The story of Colline della Stella began in the late 1990s when Andrea, in his early twenties, decided to recover some old terraced vineyards, abandoned for years, in the municipality of Gussago, the northern border of the Franciacorta appellation. The first fruits of a long and arduous work, carried out with his father Francesco, saw the light in 2002 when, from the renovated terraced vineyards, it was decided to work in the sign of Franciacorta. The terroir on which the Pinot noir and Chardonnay vines are planted has very special characteristics: perfectly draining active limestone, capable of conferring great minerality and salinity to the wines.

It was out of respect for the terroir and a strong intuition of Andrea's that it was decided to make a courageous and uncompromising choice: to produce Franciacorta exclusively without dosage. A choice of transparency that represents the true expression of the terroir; faced with such a sharp and intriguing minerality, it was decided to enhance its qualities and remain authentic, from the earth to the glass.
