F.lli Berlucchi Franciacorta Freccianera Blanc de Blancs Brut 25

The white Franciacorta Brut 25 sparkling wine is a Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) product. This non-vintage sparkling wine is the latest arrival from the Fratelli Berlucchi winery, located in Corte Franca in the morainic hills of Franciacorta.
The wine is composed of Chardonnay grapes (80%) and Pinot Bianco grapes (20%) harvested slightly in advance and pressed continuously in a single fraction of time.
Cultivated with total respect for the environment, without harmful substances, the native varieties that give this sparkling wine its identity represent the culture of an area with a vocation for wine production.

The Franciacorta Brut 25, whose name number is reminiscent of the number of months between the harvest and its release on the market, is a spumante with a young, fresh and immediate appeal, produced from vines grown in loose and limestone soils and favoured by an optimal microclimate. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand and then carefully selected and placed in small crates.
After the harvest, which takes place in the second half of August, the must obtained from the Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco grapes are fermented at controlled and induced temperatures in stainless steel vats.
After the fermentation phase comes the maturation and ageing steps on specially selected yeasts. This phase lasts just over 25 months, after which the sparkling wine is put on the market.
