Vite Colte Barolo del Comune di Barolo Essenze 2012
The vineyards of Barolo subarea of Barolo Common extend at an altitude of between 280 and 380 m s.l.m. These are soils with presence of Marne gray silty clay, sometimes bluish. In clay soils prevail textures with good water holding capacity suitable to support the vegetative activity of Nebbiolo. Following a maceration in contact with the skins for about 20 days, making the malolactic fermentation in steel. It then proceeds with the aging in small oak barrels for 24 months. Following the assembly technique of small lots, all coming from the municipality of the same name, the wine is aged an additional 6 months in bottle.
