Description
This wine comes from the old vineyards of six different contrade (districts): Pietramarina, Allegracore, Piano Daini, Friera, Zucconero and Marchesa, all located on Etna's northern slope. Here, the old Nerello Mascalese vineyards are always composed of 10-15% white grapes.

De ce vignoble
Born in 1982 in Tenerife, Eduardo grew up in contact with the family winemaking tradition. Following his passion for the vineyard, he enrolled in Agricultural Engineering and continued his studies in Oenology. A few years later, his curiosity to get to know new territories and compare himself with other producers led him to Sicily.
In 2012, he participated in the grape harvest at Arianna Occhipinti's, and a year later he worked as an oenologist at the Passopisciaro winery, attracted by the volcanic territory. In 2014, he began his work to restore the leased vineyards on Etna's northern slope. In the same year he bottled his first vintage.
Today we work 4.7 ha divided into 9 vineyards at different heights and districts. We continue to recover old vineyards that are 90% cultivated with the traditional alberello system. Today the company believes in the importance of continuous comparison and sharing with other producers, in the knowledge of other territories and other varieties. This is how we try to interpret a territory and make it known within a glass. Lire la suite
