Still chateau le puy wines

Château Le Puy lies on the same rocky plateau as Saint-Émilion and Pomerol and is part of the appellation Côtes Francs de Bordeaux. The Amoreau family has lived and produced wine since 1610 in Château le Puy, located on the second highest point of the Gironde department, about 110 meters above sea level, known since ancient times as "the plateau of wonders". Harvesting is done manually in the 54 hectares of approximately 50 years old vineyards. In 1996 the family bought the Château Pimpine, located on the same rocky plateau. The principles of biodynamic agriculture are followed today as in the past: the vines are grown naturally according to ancestral methods, without the addition of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides or pesticides. Soils composed of clay, silica and limestone are perfect soils for the growth of the main grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Carménère, Sémillon. No selected yeast is added. Barthélemy" and "Marie-Elisa" wines are produced without the slightest addition of sulphites. The wine is aged in large oak barrels and finally bottled without filtration, following the phases of the waning moon. This process makes it possible to obtain eight unique labels, able to amaze those who drink them for their uniqueness.
