Rivera Scariazzo Fiano 2021
Scariazzo is made from Fiano grapes, a variety native to Irpinia that has long since found a suitable terroir to express its characteristics in northern Apulia. In 2005, the de Corato family decided to plant a Fiano vineyard on the calcareous-tufa soil facing the winery to produce a complex white wine from indigenous grapes vinified according to Casa Rivera's experience and style attentive to varietal and terroir expression. The Scariazzo was first released in the 2010 vintage. In addition, it takes its name from the characteristic low and long stables where the flocks on their "transhumance" from the Abruzzi, of which the Rivera estates were a vital arrival point.
