Donnhof Riesling Tonschiefer Trocken 2014

The result of selected grapes in steep Erste Lage known as Leistenberg, Nahe Riesling QbA Trocken "Tonschiefer" of Dönnhoff fermented and aged in steel part, partly in traditional oak casks German.
A fresh riesling, elegant and at the same time extremely complex nose, where mineral notes combine with hints of fruit, pepper and flowers in harmony that conquest.

Colour

Robe pale straw yellow, brilliant.

Bouquet

The bouquet is typical, played on citrus perfumes, wisteria, jasmine, orange blossom and unripe pear, distinguishable only after clear stony mineral notes and a hint of hydrocarbons.

Flavour

Dry, warm enough, soft enough, frankly, in the mouth reveals a sharp freshness and a refined taste in which the mineral back to the front. It closes with a very persistent aftertaste in which a touch of sweetness follows a trail between the metal and the almond.

Pairing

Starters and first courses of fish, crustaceans and molluscs. It reveals also suitable for roasted rabbit, guinea fowl and ginger chicken.
