History This vine has probably very ancient origins and it seems that in Sannio it was cultivated already in Roman times. The first reliable news comes back to 1825, although this vine has been confused with others on several occasions.
Ampelographic features Leaf: medium or small size, cuneiform, rarely orbicular, trilobate and less often pentalobata, top glabra, with green ribs and red streaks. Bunch: Medium or medium (18-24 cm) medium-sized, medium-sized, often sparrowy, cylindrical, sometimes conical for the presence of a short, short, slightly visible peduncle, herbaceous tending to lignification towards attack with The ripening of the grape.
