Bunnahabhain fans are used to tasting their favorite whiskey without the use of peat, but what happens if we go back in time when Bunnahabhain was just whiskey whiskey? Distillery is fortunate to meet us and every year offers a limited set of its single distilled malt with barbed barley. The Bunnahabhain Cruach Mhòna (in Gaelic means peat stack) is in fact a single malt curd aged in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled without age definition at 50% vol.
