The farm, located in Sant'Angelo in Colle in the municipality of Montalcino, is one of the oldest and most traditional farms in the Brunello area. The farm is run by the brothers Ida and Ferruccio Ricci, who gather the tradition of a family deeply rooted in the rural fabric of this territory.
Despite its ancient winemaking history, today the winery is run in a modern and youthful way, respecting the rules and dictates of the Montalcino tradition. The vineyards cover an area of 13.5 hectares mainly of Sangiovese, extending in a privileged position partly on the sides of the hill adjacent to the medieval village and partly downstream on the first spurs on the river Orcia.
The company centre is located on the Il Casello estate: here is the recently renovated winery with all its thermo-conditioned rooms, where the wine is made and matured in Slavonian oak barrels followed by a period of refinement in the bottle.
