Podere Palazzo is nestled among the forested hills of Carpineta between the city of Cesena and the famous Rubicon Valley. In 49 BC, the Great Roman Civil War began when Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon River hailing, “Alea iacta est” or “The die is cast.” Conquering this territory was one of the last political conflicts before the establishment of the Roman Empire.
