The Maison Duval-Leroy has a long history and a long tradition behind it, having been founded after the second half of the nineteenth century, back in 1859 to be exact. Located in Vertus, in one of the best areas of the Côte des Blancs, home of the best Chardonnay in the entire Champagne region, the Maison directly grows around two hundred hectares of vineyards, which guarantee grapes of the highest quality, thanks to the which is always guaranteed an excellent level of Champagne.
The three main vines of the region are cultivated in the estate: chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier, but due to the vocation of the land, the chardonnay is the most present quality of grapes, as well as the one that most characterizes all the cuvées of Duval-Leroy, giving elegance, finesse, complexity and charm. Among the rows, the plants are managed in a careful and careful, through a sustainable approach, respectful of what is the balance of the environment, nature and biodiversity. In the cellar, the philosophy followed is not very different, so on the basis of previous knowledge and skills, handed down from father to son and from generation to generation, all the peculiar nuances that season and territory have managed to express in bunches.
Mainly from Grand Cru and Premier Cru grapes, perfect wines come to life to be sparkling. Carefully following each production step, after the second fermentation in the bottle all the Champagne rest on the lees for long periods, maturing in the cellars of the Maison carved directly into the plaster. The final result is given by simply excellent bubbles.
From Brut Reserve to Demi-Sec, from "Fleur de Champagne" to "Femme de Champagne", from Brut Organic to "Precious Parcel", to close with vintage wines and Blanc de Blancs, are all Champagne, those labeled "Duval -Leroy ", not to be missed for anything in the world.
