An area of fourteen hectares in total, of which about eleven are planted with red berry vines, while the remaining three are planted with white grape varieties. These are the starting numbers from which Château Respide-Medeville, a winery located in the Graves area, belonging to the French region of Bordeaux, takes its cue.
A company, that of the Château Respide-Medeville, which currently responds to the names of Julie Médeville and Xavier Gonet, who in addition to being a wife and husband are respectively the first, soul of the small Château Gilette, as well as belonging to that family in France it is nicknamed as the "Antiquaire du Sauternes", and the second, successful winemaker from a family of winemakers from Mesnil sur Oger.
Not just the latest in the world of wine, in short, but a couple that, in addition to being united in private life, is united and committed to the management and production of all those labels that are currently identified by the Gonet-Medeville brand. And under this brand are, in fact, to include the wines of the Château Respide-Medeville, which in full respect of ancient traditions and following ancient knowledge, reach literally amazing levels of quality.
Among the rows, the plants grow on soils composed mainly of gravel and clay, and are bred in full and total respect of the environment and ecosystem. In the cellar, vinification follows the conventional rules, while aging, both for whites and for what concerns the reds, is carried out in French oak barrels. With perseverance, constancy and effort on the one hand, but also with competence, professionalism and talent on the other, the labels of the Château Respide-Medeville are, for years, among the best of the names to which they belong. Wines, those taken care of by Julie Médeville and Xavier Gonet, excellent, prestigious and of the highest quality.
