Chateau le Bruilleau

Château Le Bruilleau is located south of Martillac in the southern part of the appellation Pessac-Léognan and in the commune of St-Médard d’Eyrans. Nadine and Serge Bédicheau represent the 4th generation on the estate.

The Château's vineyards represent 10.60 hectares with 8.20 hectares planted in Merlot (52%) and Cabernet sauvignon (48%) and 2.4 hectares planted in Semillon (75%) and Sauvignon Blanc (25%). The parcel are situated on gentle slopes with a soil structure composed of clayey-limestone and gravel. The red grapes average 20 years of age while the white grapes average 40 years of age. The red grapes are planted on gravelly parcels while the white grapes are planted on dominant clayey-limestone soil. The harvest is hand-picked, canopy management and green harvest are practiced when necessary. Also, grass is grown between the rows for the vineyard's health and bio-diversity.
