In Lheery, in the Vallée de l'Ardre (west of Reims), the ROBION family has been established for generations.
The vineyards, worked by parents and grandparents and great-grandparents of Catherine and Thierry, were converted to organic culture in 2010. The official certification takes place in 2014.
For them, growing the vineyard in this way means listening to changes in soil, air, environment and trying to help nature to run its course without forcing.
For this grassing, the compost preparation that lasts 6 months, makes them very contained, allow the growth of a healthy vineyard and, in the grapes, a concentration of aromas and minerality that is very persistent in the wine.
There are four vines that grow in their vines of 4.5 hectares total: Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Petit Meslier that vinify in parcel.
The alcoholic fermentation starts with indigenous yeasts to which the selected ones are added to obtain complete fermentations.
Cellar and cuverie are new, recognized and certified. A tool that allows you to continue to develop their work better.
This love of the earth has been passed on to the children: Eloi, LEopold and MARTi, whose initial syllables make up the name of the brand: ELEMART.
Catherine and Thierry joined his eldest son: Eloi who decided to accompany them on this path after his studies on oenology and viticulture.
