Areas of cultivation The Boschera vine is grown exclusively in Veneto, especially in the province of Treviso and in particular in the area of Vittorio Veneto, of which it is native. Vittorio Veneto is located in the northern part of the province of Treviso almost on the border with the province of Belluno and at the foot of the Prealps.
Ampelographic features Leaf: large, pentagonal, pentalobata. Cluster: compact bunch, medium bunch, medium bunch, pyramidal bunch. Berry: medium size berries, with spotted skin, little pruinose skin, thick, thick, yellowish-green skin.
Characteristics of the wine obtained from this grape variety Golden straw yellow colour, fruity, mineral and with strong notes of still unripe apple, citrusy, ethereal on the palate.
Notes The late vinification of these raisins was a must due to the very high acidity of the vine, which also makes it particularly suitable for use in grapes destined for sparkling wine making. From the early 2000s the Boschera began to be vinified also in purity, thanks to the evolution in winemaking techniques.
