Description

Still red from Piedmont, Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG, 14.5% ABV, produced by Vite Colte. 100% Barbera. 1.5L magnum format, 2021 vintage. A wine that embodies the excellence of Barbera, aged for 12 months in barriques to enhance its structure and complexity. Vinification is traditional, with 10 days of maceration at a temperature of 28-30°C, followed by the start of malolactic fermentation. Aged in barriques for approximately 12 months, during which this robust Barbera further enriches its extractive potential and evolves into a complex and elegant wine. Rich and complex, with evident notes of violet, licorice, and vanilla that blend into a deep purple red. On the palate, it is very fresh, with lingering notes of berries, vanilla, and coffee, which extend into a long and persistent finish.

Inaugurated in 2000, the winery is situated below the most prestigious Barolo cru vineyards and the architectural design has been reviewed by numerous modern architecture magazines. Attention to new technologies and a philological study of the territory which gives the Langhe its specificity and identity, were paramount in the mind of Gianni Arnaudo, the architect responsible for designing the winery.

Vite Colte is made up of people who strongly believe in a shared concept of quality, where the responsibility of individuals is an integral part of the final result. Winegrowers, partners, friends. The members of ViteColte are "accomplices" in a project that demands dedication to quality which is every bit as strict as the protocols implemented in its pursuit. Every winegrower is remunerated on the basis of the size of the vineyard and not the quantity of product, in order to obtain the highest level of quality.
