Description
What kind of wine it is
Pinot Nero from Cantina Tramin is a still red wine that enhances the innate elegance of the Pinot Noir grape. This interpretation from Alto Adige reveals itself with a ruby red hue enriched by garnet reflections. The bouquet is clear and fragrant, with notes of small red fruits such as raspberry, plum and cherry. On the palate, it is velvety and smooth, supported by a fine tannic structure and lively freshness. Subtle floral notes complete the profile, providing a harmonious balance ideal for precisely accompanying spicy cheeses and roast meats.
Where it comes from
The grapes are grown on the hills of Termeno, in the renowned microzones of Mazzon and Montagna in Alto Adige. The vineyards, situated between 350 and 450 metres above sea level, rest on calcareous and clayey soil with a significant presence of gravel. This terroir gives the wine a marked gustatory precision. The area's climate is characterised by strong temperature variations, essential for aromatic development: the Mediterranean influence during the day alternates with cool mountain winds at night, favouring a slow and complete ripening of the grapes.
How it is produced
Production begins with manual harvesting to preserve the integrity of the bunches. Maceration takes place at a controlled temperature, with frequent pumping over and punching down to optimally extract colour and aromas. The wine matures for at least six months in small and large oak barrels, as well as in steel tanks. This careful management of maturation shapes a velvety structure, harmonising the fruity profile to offer a vibrant and clear sip, an authentic expression of its place of origin.
