Description
What kind of wine it is
Tremenalto by Suavia is an organic white wine that expresses the authentic soul of Garganega. Its straw-yellow hue anticipates a warm and chalky aromatic profile, enriched by enveloping notes of quince jam, orange blossom, and candied fruit. On the palate, it is broad and rounded, supported by a pronounced savoury and fresh tension that ensures a dynamic and balanced sip.
Where it comes from
The wine originates from the vineyards of Fittà, a medieval village located in the renowned Soave Classico area. The vines grow at an altitude of one hundred and thirty metres, with a western exposure on steep volcanic slopes. The deep and evolved soils impart a distinct mineral character to the flavour profile. Suavia has cultivated these lands since the nineteenth century, enhancing the identity of an exceptional winegrowing ecosystem.
How it is produced
Production begins in mid-October with a careful harvesting of the grape bunches. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks for fourteen days; malolactic fermentation is not carried out to preserve the aromatic definition. The wine matures for twelve months in steel in contact with the fine lees, acquiring body and structure. After a single membrane filtration, the process concludes with a final maturation of twenty-four months.
History and Curiosities
Born on the steep volcanic soils of Fittà, Tremenalto tells the story of the Suavia family's dedication, guardians of these lands since the 19th century. Now led by the founders' three daughters, the estate enhances its historic vineyards through strict organic and sustainable management. This prestigious Soave Classico, awarded 94 points by James Suckling, pays tribute to the ancient medieval name of the village. Under the expert guidance of oenologist Valentina Tessari, the precious Garganega grapes give rise to an authentic expression of minerality and freshness.

Our family has been living and cultivating the land since the nineteenth century in Fittà: a small rural village mounted like a precious stone on the hills of Soave Classico. The history of Suavia however began later, in 1982, when Giovanni and Rosetta (the father and mother), aware of the great potential of their area, decided to set up on their own and make their mark, crushing their grapes and making their own wine.
Today we three sisters, Meri, Valentina and Alessandra, carry on the family tradition and run the winery always working here in Fittà, where it all started. Read more
