Description
Castello di Brolio is born in Tuscany, in one of the richest wine-producing areas in the entire Italian nation. Resounding from its very name, it is a still red with undisputed character, a DOCG Chianti Classico Gran Selezione to be precise, which has earned the distinction of being considered among the five best wines in the world. It comes from the prestigious cellars of Baron Ricasoli and comes to life in the vineyards located in the magical Gaiole, in Chianti, in the Chianti Classico area to be precise. The crops that concern it are distributed mostly on hilly territories that boast the merit of being considered among the most suitable for viticulture, for climatic and geological reasons. It is the fruit of a blend of extremely high-quality grapes, 80% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, which are fermented on the skins at a controlled temperature between 24 and 27°C for a maximum of 12 to 18 days. The careful processing to which it is subjected includes maturation in barriques and tonneaux for a full 18 months before it can be bottled. The host of numerous awards it has received makes Castello di Brolio a precious wine that deserves to be present on the tables of the most demanding connoisseurs, but also at the banquets of those who want to approach products of undisputed quality. This is a still red that should definitely be kept among the reserves in your cellar.

Francesco Ricasoli, current owner and President of the company, has generated new ideas and concepts to render the vineyards sustainable. The ongoing study of soil types and the clonal selection of the Brolio Sangiovese are among his greatest passions, and he has totally renovated the vineyards and completely mapped them. The new wines are therefore the expression of research carried out with the same scientific rigor of his illustrious ancestor but with a contemporary spirit, like a runner receiving the baton and carrying it forward with renewed energy.
