Description
What kind of wine it is
Planeta Controdanza is an organic red wine with a Mediterranean character, created from a blend of Nero d’Avola and Merlot grapes. On the nose, it offers an intense bouquet of mulberry and plum, enriched with notes of bay leaf, incense and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it stands out for its enveloping structure, supported by a harmonious acidity and soft tannins. Its elegance enhances bold flavours such as grilled meats, game, mature cheeses and sweet and sour dishes.
Where it comes from
This red is born in the Buonivini district, in the heart of the Noto denomination. The vines grow just a few dozen metres above sea level, on distinctly calcareous soils with abundant stones and a clay fraction with chalky traits. This unique soil composition imparts a precise territorial identity to the wine, giving it a measured taste balance and the lively freshness that characterise the authentic vocation of the Syracuse area.
How it is produced
The selected grapes are destemmed and crushed before undergoing a fourteen-day skin maceration. After malolactic fermentation in steel, which helps preserve the precision of the aromas, maturation continues for ten months in second and third passage Allier oak barrels. This process masterfully defines the elegant structure and softness that complete the expressiveness of this label signed by Planeta.
