Description
Still red Barolo DOCG, 14.5% ABV, produced by Pira Luigi. 100% Nebbiolo, 0.75 L bottle, 2021 vintage. A Barolo that embodies the passion and dedication of the Pira family, who have been producing excellent wines in Serralunga d'Alba since 1950. Fermentation takes place in horizontal fermentation tanks at a controlled temperature for 7-10 days, followed by aging for 24 months in new French oak barriques. It boasts a very rich and intense nose, full of jammy aromas, spices, and balsamic hints. Notes of cocoa, cherry, coffee beans, blackberry, and licorice enhance a remarkable aromatic profile. The palate is equally fresh and generous. The palate is powerful and tannic, with a long, precise finish.
