Description

What kind of wine it is

The Champagne Premier Cru Anthocyanes Rosé Extra Brut by Pascal Doquet is a rosé sparkling wine created from a meticulous blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Crafted using the Traditional Method, it appears in the glass with an intense copper hue and a fine, persistent perlage. The bouquet reveals intense aromas of small red fruits, enriched by distinct yeast notes. On the palate, it offers a fresh and dry sensation, where raspberry notes merge with delicate spicy nuances, finishing with great balance.

Where it comes from

This wine from Pascal Doquet is the authentic expression of the Vertus area, located in the renowned Côte des Blancs. The Premier Cru classification highlights the extraordinary potential of these vineyards, which impart remarkable aromatic precision to the grapes. The production philosophy is based on organic viticulture and biodynamic practices, aimed at preserving the integrity of the environment and obtaining healthy bunches that reflect the mineral richness of the soil.

How it is produced

The winemaking process involves a long period on the lees, essential for enhancing the structure and defining the finesse of the bubbles. The Extra Brut dosage maintains a dry and essential flavour profile, enhancing the natural freshness of the raw material. Thanks to its lively acidity and aromatic complexity, this rosé is perfect for accompanying starters and cheeses, but finds its highest expression when paired with shellfish and fish tartare.

History and Curiosities

Founded in Vertus in 2006, the Pascal Doquet maison showcases the Côte des Blancs through rigorous organic viticulture. The Anthocyanes Rosé Extra Brut is an elegant Premier Cru Champagne that harmoniously blends Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Crafted using the traditional method, it boasts an extended period on the lees, which enhances its aromatic complexity. Highly rated by James Suckling and Robert Parker, this captivating rosé sparkling wine perfectly embodies the essence and passion of an exceptional region.
