Description

Still organic red Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, 15.5% ABV, produced by Casa Sartori 1898. Blend: 50% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella, 5% Oseleta. 0.75 L bottle, 2018 vintage. An Amarone born from the passion of the Sartori family, winemakers since 1898. The grapes, carefully selected in the vineyard and harvested in small crates, are dried for approximately 3-4 months in dry, well-ventilated rooms. Once the ideal degree of drying is reached, they are pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks. After an initial maturation in cement—to allow malolactic fermentation to take place—the wine is aged in medium and large oak barrels for approximately 30 months. After bottling, the wine rests for at least 3 months in the bottle. On the nose, it reveals a rich fruity bouquet, with typical notes of cherries in alcohol, dried violets, and spices, especially cinnamon and nutmeg. A deep red color with garnet highlights. On the palate, it is rich and intense, with elegant tannins and a remarkable smoothness.

A company founded by Pietro Sartori in Negrar in 1898, his five sons all studied and, among a doctor, a lawyer and an engineer, the figure of Regolo stood out as the one who started the winemaking adventure.

The heir, endowed with a superfine palate, like a tailor, was able to 'sew' with extreme care the wines to propose to his clientele, which grew year after year.

After the Second World War, numbers also soared. Then, in 1952, when Regolo passed away, his two sons took over the business, opening it up to the foreign market.

The 1990s marked a turning point in the management of Casa Vinicola Sartori, which saw the entry of the Sartori family into the Board of Directors of the Colognola ai Colli winery to implement an ambitious growth project in the production and distribution of wines at a worldwide level. A goal successfully achieved.
