Description
Still red Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, produced by Mastrojanni in Tuscany, 100% Sangiovese, 2020 vintage. A Brunello born in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the far southeast of Montalcino, in a corner of the land where the Orcia River and Mount Amiata create a unique microclimate. Aged for 36 months in Allier oak barrels. Fruit and spice intertwine, softened by notes of tobacco. A bold ruby color, tinged with pomegranate highlights. Frank and powerful, yet strong and full-bodied, it finishes with a savory finish. A wine that speaks of the passion and dedication of a family that cultivates the land with respect, preserving biodiversity.

We have always felt the need to challenge ourselves. Since November 2022, we have embarked on a transformative journey, moving towards a holistic approach to cultivation. Currently, our agricultural methods are based on non-invasive practices. At Mastrojanni, herbicides have never been used, and since November 2022, no chemical products have been applied. We cultivate the land with respect, preserving biodiversity and maintaining the genetic heritage of our vineyards. It is our deep understanding of the soil that guides the care of the vineyards along with the attentive listening to nature by the people who work for it.
Time seems to tell us that the true wonder of these places lies in their identity, inspiring us, transcending even those who own the land. Read more
