Description

Moscato d'Asti Serralunga is a sweet and aromatic white passito wine with Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG). This wine is produced from an aromatic white grape variety that has been widespread throughout the Mediterranean region since ancient times. It is the base grape variety for the production of Asti spumante, one of Italy's greatest winemaking and commercial successes worldwide. Moscato d'Asti Serralunga from the Massolino winery is a great classic from the Piedmontese Langhe region, an area with a strong winemaking tradition since ancient times. A captivating, high-quality wine produced from a 100% Moscato blend. Appreciated both nationally and internationally, it is a wine product that best expresses the typicality of the territory. It is no coincidence that every single vinification operation must be carried out in the Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin area. The vines are trained using the Guyot system on hilly terrain at an altitude ranging from 300 to 360 meters above sea level, in calcareous soils that enjoy microclimates that are more than ideal for the production of fine grapes. The Moscato grapes, harvested strictly by hand during the second half of September, are processed with rigorous and precise methods. The result is a label that has regularly received very important recognition from industry critics. Subsequently, the base wine obtained, which is distinguished by its light fizziness, is subjected to the sparkling process, which takes place in a steel autoclave, so as to best preserve all the aromas that characterize the vine.

Proud producers of Barolo, Barbaresco and the typical wines of the Langhe, we were lucky enough to be born in Serralunga d’Alba, an area of absolute excellence in the geography of great Italian wines.
With tenacity and passion, we have been making wine since 1896.

Azienda Agricola Massolino Vigna Rionda is the dream of our great-grandfather Giovanni, who founded the estate in 1896. In those days, it was a traditional Langa farm, producing fruit and vegetables, raising livestock and making wine.

Our family is firmly at the helm of the historic estate that inhaled the vibrant air full of change of the late 19th century and navigated the tides of the first half of the 20th century. Today, we face the new challenges of the 21st century, in the capable hands of the third and fourth generations.

We are Massolino Vigna Rionda and we are writing a legacy with our wines.
