Description
What kind of oil it is
The I Dolia Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Lunae stands out for its delicate aromatic profile and intense green colour. Produced from the Razzola, Leccino and Moraiolo varieties, this Ligurian oil expresses a fruity bouquet, enriched with hints of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is refined and balanced, with excellent clarity and a maximum acidity of 0.4%, a sign of the high quality of the raw material.
Where it comes from
The olive groves grow on the hills of eastern Liguria, between the municipalities of Luni and Castelnuovo Magra. The area enjoys an ideal Mediterranean climate, which favours the perfect ripening of the local varieties. The region boasts millennia-old agricultural roots, evidenced by the remains of ancient Roman oil mills. This historic rural vocation gives the oil a distinct territorial character, shaping its harmonious nature and natural delicacy of flavour.
How it is produced
Production begins with a rigorous manual harvest of the olives, an essential step to preserve the integrity of each individual fruit. Processing takes place through cold mechanical extraction, operating at constantly monitored temperatures to avoid any thermal alteration. This meticulous care allows the organoleptic properties to remain intact, protecting the freshness of the fruity profile and ensuring a final product with a clear, elegant and perfectly balanced structure.

Cantine Lunae deepen their roots in the millenary hystory of this land and people, whose great vine-growing and wine-making tradition have inherited. Etruscans, or perhaps Ligures and then Romans, were the first to grow vineyards in the surroundings of the beautiful Luni, the "Moon City".
These lands have given birth to our vineyards, to our passion, to our wine!
