The Fournier family has been present in Marsannay since the 17th century, with writings from the reign of Louis XIII already attesting to the presence of a Fournier in the village.
It was much later, in 1962, that Jean Fournier settled as a winegrower in his native village. Today, his son, Laurent, is at the head of an exploitation which covers 22,5 hectares on the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Read more

Harvest | Hand-picked in small 15 kg crates, with strict sorting in the winery. |
Wine making | The grapes are crushed, then pressed for a long time (3 to 5 hours) without any input (no sulphur, enzymes or yeast). The juice is lightly cold settled for 12 to 24 hours, then fermented under the action of indigenous yeasts in barrels. |
Aging | Aged in 600-litre barrels (demi-muids, with 10% new wood), without stirring, for 12 months, then 4 to 6 months in stainless steel vats. |
