Description
What kind of wine it is
Pinot Bianco J. Hofstätter is a still white wine made from Pinot Bianco grapes, originating from Alto Adige with a controlled designation of origin. To the eye, it displays a bright straw yellow hue, introducing a fine and fragrant bouquet of peach, apple and pear. On the palate, it reveals a soft and elegant structure, with excellent overall harmony. Aged in stainless steel and cement, this fresh wine leads the tasting towards a clean finish, enhanced by a subtle hint of walnut.
Where it comes from
This wine is born in the prestigious vineyards of Alto Adige, nestled in the enchanting landscapes of South Tyrol. The J. Hofstätter winery, based in Termeno, reflects in this production the pure identity of the Alpine territory. The pronounced acidity also ensures an excellent ageing potential, allowing for positive evolution in the cellar for several years.
How it is produced
The winemaking process begins with meticulous manual harvesting, followed by gentle pressing of the grapes. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, a necessary technique to preserve the utmost clarity of the aromas. Clarification occurs by decantation, through the natural settling of sediments. Ageing continues in stainless steel and cement, a deliberate choice to maintain the original freshness of the fruit, avoiding the influence of wood. The wine is best enjoyed served chilled, elegantly paired with starters and fish dishes.
History and Curiosities
