Description
What kind of wine it is
Terre More di Frescobaldi is a still red wine with controlled designation of origin that authentically interprets the essence of the Tuscan Maremma. This blend is created from the union of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah, fermented in steel and matured in French barrels. On the palate, it is enveloping and full-bodied, supported by velvety tannins that lead to a persistent finish. The aromatic bouquet is characterised by intense notes of cherry, raspberry and plum, enhanced by hints of Mediterranean herbs, liquorice and delicate sweet spices such as vanilla, while a pleasant savoury freshness balances the flavour profile, making the drinking experience dynamic and contemporary.
Where it comes from
The vineyards of Tenuta Ammiraglia stretch across the hills of Magliano, in the province of Grosseto. In this excellent setting, the sunny climate benefits from constant sea breezes, which are essential for preserving the aromatic freshness of the fruit. The vines grow on clay-limestone soils rich in stones, at an altitude of about three hundred metres. This particular terroir encourages optimal plant development and gives the wine a decisive personality, highlighting its natural structure.
How it is produced
Production begins with careful manual harvesting, carried out in September to respect the ripening stage of each grape variety. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with a maceration of about thirteen days for optimal extraction of colour and polyphenols. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for twelve months in French barrels of second and third passage. The process concludes with a further twelve months of bottle ageing.
