Description
Still red from Abruzzo, produced by Fantini. Blend: Malvasia Nera, Montepulciano, Negro Amaro, Primitivo, Sangiovese. 0.75L bottle. This wine celebrates the twentieth edition of this limited edition, a tribute to the passion and experience of the Fantini winery. The grapes are pressed and destemmed before maceration and fermentation, which last 25 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new oak barrels, 60% American and the rest French. The wine ages for 12 months in a special selection of oak chosen by our head winemaker Filippo Baccalaro directly in Bordeaux at the Seguin Moreau cooperage. Very intense and persistent, with notes of cherry and blackcurrant, aromatic herbs, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa, licorice, and mineral hints. Very deep garnet red color. Great structure, good balance between alcohol and freshness, velvety tannins, very persistent with a long finish.
