Description
Still biodynamic white wine from Alsace, France, 13% ABV, produced by Domaine Zind-Humbrecht. 100% Pinot Gris. 2022 vintage. A wine that expresses the elegance and complexity of the Alsatian terroir. Domaine Zind-Humbrecht was founded in 1959 by merging the family estates of Zénon Humbrecht, a winemaker in Gueberschwihr, and Emile Zind, a winemaker in Wintzenheim. A complex, fruity bouquet of apricot, beeswax, quince, and pear. Full-bodied, perfectly balanced, and perfectly balanced. Winegrower from father to son since the Thirty Years war in Europe (1620) the Humbrecht family has long winemaking traditions. Today Léonard and Ginette, as well, as Olivier and Margaret Humbrecht are working together at the Domaine.
Chanoine Barth, historian of Alsace wines, recalls that the Humbrecht family was already renting vineyards from the Abbaye of Marbach, near Gueberschwihr, in the 18th century. However, we only started to bottle our wines in 1947. Since then, we have only produced grapes from our own vineyards, making the wine and selling it under our own label.
Today the Domaine Zind-Humbrecht has 40 hectares of vineyards located in five different villages in the Haut- Rhin. Read more
