Description
What kind of wine it is
Richebourg Grand Cru from Domaine A.F. Gros is a still red wine that precisely interprets the character of Pinot Noir grown in Burgundy. In the glass, it displays a ruby red colour, introducing a structured and complex aromatic profile, characterised by notes of wild violets and blackcurrant, followed by clear hints of vanilla and spices. On the palate, it offers a marked contrast between power and finesse, balancing a muscular structure with vibrant acidity and a deep, persistent concentration of red fruits. Its qualities and ageing potential have earned it prestigious accolades, such as 96 points from Decanter and 94 points from Vinous.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in the village of Vosne-Romanée, located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. The Richebourg area is one of six sites classified as Grand Cru in the commune and stands out for producing wines with an opulent and long-lived profile. The vine roots delve into limestone-gravel soil with a moderate presence of clay, characterised by a rather thin surface layer. This specific geological composition is directly reflected in the glass, giving the tasting a dense flavour texture, capable of combining an intense fruit expression with a rigorous aromatic definition.
How it is produced
The processing of the grapes destined for Richebourg Grand Cru aims to preserve the complexity typical of the region. Through careful vinification, this still red wine acquires its intense colour and a full flavour profile. To allow the aromatic profile to express itself precisely and to appreciate the balance between power and finesse, it is recommended to decant for one hour before serving. This practice reveals the depth and structural solidity that ensure a long ageing potential.

At 25 years old, Anne saw the family domaine grow from 3 to 6.5 ha. Recently, she invested in a new cellar. She is a winegrower suspicious of certitude and fastidious about maintaining her freedom.
As a female winegrower, Anne knew how to prove herself and convince all who doubted her ability to manage a domaine. She showed that she had not only the shoulders but the head to make her family heritage one of the greatest domaines of Burgundy.
In 1984 she had to stop studying Arts to study vines’culture and oenology in Beaune and Dijon. Now her passion for vine and wine as well as her talent, sensitivity and professionalism position her as a winemaker amateurs can rely on.
A mother of 3 children, Anne spends all her time working at the Domaine and taking care of her family. Read more
