Description
Barolo Cascina Fontana is produced from Nebbiolo grapes grown in hilly areas in the heart of the production zone, specifically in the three vineyards owned by the family: Villero (cru Villero) and Valletti (cru Mariondino) in the commune of Castiglione Falletto and Gallinotto (cru Giachini) in the commune of La Morra. The grapes from each vineyard contribute different characteristics to the preparation of Barolo Cascina Fontana: complexity, structure, elegance, acidity, fruit and minerality are some of them.

This is an area of rare majestic beauty, with vine-covered hills and castle-topped communities looking across to each other over steep, plunging valleys.

Today I continue to grow the traditional grapes of Le Langhe, dolcetto, barbera and nebbiolo, to produce a range of classic and prestigious wines that are the purest expression of the land from which they are born, Le Langhe. Read more

| Story | Barolo, with its noble origins, is our greatest wealth, part of our culture and identity: it is the wine that makes us proud of our land, the Langhe. Barolo is never simple: it is a great wine for its complexity, character, body, dignity, hardness and austerity. It does not reveal itself easily at first taste, only after slow ageing, both in casks and in bottles, does Barolo open up and reveal its secrets. |
