Description
Still red Ribera del Duero DO, 14.5% ABV, produced by Bodega y Vinedos Alion, in Castile and Leon, Spain. 100% Tempranillo. 0.75 L bottle, 2021 vintage. A wine signed by Marta Alvarez, the president, and born from the passion of the Álvarez family, also owners of Vega Sicilia. The grapes are hand-picked into crates and then sorted in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled wooden vats. Finally, the wine ages for 12 to 14 months, depending on the vintage, in new French Bordeaux oak barriques. Once removed from the oak barrels, the wine remains in the bottle for at least 15 months.
