Description
Still red from Pommard, a prestigious Burgundy appellation, 13% ABV, 100% Pinot Noir, produced by Blain-Gagnard. 0.75 L bottle, 2021 vintage. A wine that embodies the elegance and complexity of the Pommard terroir, with a winemaking process that enhances its unique characteristics. Domaine Blain-Gagnard was founded in 1980 following the marriage of Jean-Marc (originally from Sancerre) and Claudine (originally from Chassagne), whose grandparents were winemakers. The vines are planted to Chardonnay (55%) and Pinot Noir. On the nose, small red fruits, currants and raspberries, fresh roses, notes of oriental spices and licorice against a very balsamic background. Bright and delicate ruby red color. Soft and elegantly fresh, with a silky texture and dense, fine tannins, and a long finish of red fruits.
