Description
Franciacorta Nature Dosaggio Zero, classic method sparkling wine, 12.5% ABV, produced by Berlucchi Guido, a historic winery founded in 1961. Blend: 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir. 0.75-liter bottle, 2018 vintage. A Franciacorta born from the passion and expertise of Franco Ziliani, the winemaker who revolutionized Italian sparkling winemaking. The grapes come from vineyards located in Arzelle, Rovere, San Carlo, and Ragnoli. After fermentation in stainless steel and aging in barriques, the wine rests on the lees for at least 5 years, followed by an additional 6 months after disgorgement. Intense straw yellow with subtle antique gold hues. Fine and elegant, it opens with notes of saffron, followed by subtle citrus aromas of bergamot and candied citron, ripe yellow fruit, and bread crust, lightened by fresh hints of star anise on a flint background. On the palate, the wine is remarkably balanced; its impressive structure, vibrant acidity, and lingering savory finish combine dynamically to create a remarkable personality.
