A company, that of Valle Reale, in that of Popoli, which works well, managing to put tradition and personality into its wines. The intent is, in fact, to respect, on the one hand the viticultural history of the area, and on the other, bring it forward and characterize it through the modern technologies present in the cellar. The vineyards are located between 350 and 400 meters above sea level, on soils rich in skeleton with limited presence of clay.
This gives rise to original wines, a faithful imprint of terroir and cultivated varieties, exclusively traditional. Six labels presented this year, of which as many as five really distance themselves by a whisker and which sees the return of Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Vigneto Sant’Eusanio.
The Trebbiano d’Abruzzo Vigneto di Popoli, on the other hand, lends itself and places itself on the podium, with its ample and complex bouquet and clean, warm and persistent taste. Great absentees this year Il Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Vigna del Convento di Capestrano 2016, not produced due to the violent frost suffered in April of that year, and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo San Calisto, whose grapes did not reach the phenolic maturity desired again because of frosts and that we will find again with the 2015 vintage in the next editions of the Guide.
