Monte dei Ragni

The Monte dei Ragni company was established on land owned by the Ragno family. It takes its name from the hill where it is located, due to the fact that it was so named on the historical land register drawn up during the Austrian domination.

One of the main architects of the company was Ragno Santo, who, as early as the beginning of the 20th century, realised the importance of grapes for this land and increasingly directed the company towards this cultivation. Continuing to evolve, in the first half of the same century it expanded with land in the Mazzurega locality, a little further north, immediately planted with vines, cherry and olive trees, and there are still traces of those improvements today.

An old road between two stone walls leads to the farm in Marega, a historic district dating back to 1450. Founded as a garrison for the nearby Villa della Torre, it then became a farm, remaining so to this day.

The cultivation of vines and their transformation into wine, giving this foothill area its best, has very ancient origins here.
