Azienda Agricola Montedolce

The Etna with its 3,323 meters s.l.m. It is the largest active volcano in Europe UNESCO heritage, located on the east coast of Sicily within the territory of the province of Catania and is crossed by 15th meridian east.

It has an area of 1,265 square kilometers. Its height varies over time due to eruptions that cause it to rise or fall, in 2010 it reached 3,350 m.

Unlike the Stromboli which is in constant activity, it always appears dominated by a plume of smoke. It has a separate place compared to the wine regions of the Region of Sicily, conquered thanks to the particular climate, in fact there are abundant rains, harsh winter temperatures that engulfed the territory and above all the soil rich in mineral substances generated by the disintegration of the lava.
