Beschreibung
A pure Vermentino where varietal expression, freshness and drinkability are the hallmarks. The label features floral motifs and the colours of the surrounding nature, underlining the close link with the Tuscan coast.

Mitten im Herzen der Maremma, nahe der Stadt Castagneto Carducci, ist das Weingut Caccia al Piano 1868 gelegen. Hier entstehen viele der prestigeträchtigsten Weine der Toskana. Angebaut werden hauptsächlich die Rebsorten Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot und Syrah. Die Produktion beträgt etwa 100000 Flaschen im Jahr. Auf 20 Hektar entstehen hier feinste Supertoskaner – Weine mit sehr viel Struktur, Finesse und Langlebigkeit. Das Weingut wurde vor einigen Jahren von der Berlucchigruppe übernommen, die einer der bedeutendsten Produzenten von Schaumwein in der Franciacorta sind. Die Weine heißen Ruit Hora und Levia Gravia, und zollen damit dem Dichter Joshua Carducci Tribut (die wurden nach einer Gedichtsammlung und einem Gedicht des Poeten benannt.), der in Castagneto einen Teil seines Lebens verbracht hat.
