Wine of character but also of great balance, pleasantly tannic. It is remembered for its good harmony and high softness.

Intense ruby red.

Bouquet

Intense red fruits, such as blackberry and cherry, with a slight hint of capers and an undertone of spices flavour with great depth. Very mellow.

An excellent balance of tannins and acidity on the palate; profound.

Origin The Augustali winery is in Sicily bordering the two provinces of Trapani and Palermo in the middle of the Gulf of Castellammare enjoying the picturesque hilly landscape sloping down to the sea. It is in the most fertile part of the Falconeria forest between Alcamo and Partinico, a land that was so dear to Frederick II of Swabia.

Harvest Manual harvest between the first and the second week of September.
Vinification In red, preserving the real potential of grapes and respecting the best expression of the soil. Fermentation at controlled temperature.
Ageing In stainless steel tanks; 18 months in oak barrels (30 hl) and one year in bottle.
