Geschichte |
The Malvasia Black of Brindisi, like the other black berries, belongs to that vineyard family whose name "Malvasia" comes from a contracted variation of Montagasia, a Byzantine stronghold abbarbished on the rocks of a promontory south of the Peloponnese where Sweet wines were produced and exported all over Europe by the Venetians under the name Monemvasia. |

Leaf: Pentagonal shape, large, quinquelobata; Closed petiole breast (or V-U), side limbs with superimposed edges; Upper page glabra, green-bottle, opaque; Velvety underside, light green, opaque, with brilliant ribs; Fleece often bent with eyebrows with smooth surface, gutter lobes with acute terminal angle; Main ribs on the top of the green-bottle color, protruding; On the bottom light green; Lateral teeth pronounced, irregular, mucronized, on flat margins.
Bunch: medium-sparse appearance, medium-sized, medium lengthened, simple or winged, 16-20 cm long; Visible medium-sized peduncle, 5-6 cm long, woody in the first 2 cm; Light green hare.
Acino: spheroid, regular, medium thickness (mm 14-16); Persistent navel, infused; Regular cross-section (circular); Pruinous, medium, consistent peel; Blue color, uniformly distributed; Little colored juice; Softwood pulp; Special taste (of Malvasia); Green pedicel, medium length; Green inquisitive, unclear; Pinkish brush, short, difficult to separate from the acina. |
Sortencharakteristische Merkmale |
The wine that is obtained from the Black Malvasia vine of Brindisi is ruby red with purple reflections. On the palate it is warm, aromatic, fruity, round. |
