Description
Barolo DOCG from Piedmont, 14.5% ABV, produced by Brovia since 1863. 100% Nebbiolo, 2020 vintage. A Barolo that embodies the elegance of the Rocche di Castiglione terroir, with notes of face powder, rose, violet, star anise, tonka bean, and gentian. Bright garnet color. Austere on the palate, with fine tannins and a long, evolving, savory finish. Awarded 94 points by James Suckling and 95 points by Vinous. Ideal with braised beef with chanterelles, game, and aged cheeses.

The Winery had been set up as far back as 1863 and is settled in Castiglione Falletto. Paying always attention to the importance of the “terroir”, with time and an uncompromising attitude to the selection of the finest vineyards in Langa, the family has been able to acquire great vineyards in the Barolo growing area: Rocche, Villero and Garblèt Sue’ in Castiglione Falletto and Ca’Mia and Brea in Serralunga d’Alba.
