Description

What kind of wine it is

André Jacquart Champagne Experience Rosé 1er Cru Rosé de Saignée Extra Brut is a rosé sparkling wine produced in the heart of Champagne, from vineyards classified as Premier Cru. In its blend, the elegance of Chardonnay and the structure of Pinot Noir harmoniously combine through the Traditional Method, revealing a pink colour with copper highlights and a fine, persistent mousse. On the nose, notes of apple and small red fruits emerge, while the palate displays clear fruit supported by pronounced minerality, lending great freshness. The Extra Brut dosage ensures a taut, linear sip with excellent balance.

Where it comes from

This wine originates between the villages of Vertus and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the prestigious Côte des Blancs. The André Jacquart winery manages the vineyards with sustainable viticulture, aiming to enhance the essence of the terroir. The Premier Cru designation highlights the superior quality of the grapes grown in these Champagne plots. Strict vineyard management ensures a faithful expression of the terroir, maintaining a pure, dynamic flavour profile deeply rooted in its origins.

How it is produced

Production follows the rosé de saignée technique to give the wine its characteristic hue and fleshy structure. Vinification and ageing take place in oak barrels, enriching the aromatic bouquet and making the effervescence silkier. The decision not to carry out malolactic fermentation ensures a vibrant texture and remarkable flavour definition. Served chilled, between 6 and 8°C, this wine elegantly accompanies shellfish and crudités, and also enhances fish dishes, medium-aged cheeses, and vegetable risottos.

History and Curiosities

Founded in 1958 in the prestigious Côte des Blancs, the family-run André Jacquart house celebrates the essence of Vertus through this refined Champagne Rosé de Saignée. The result of organic and sustainable viticulture, the cuvée stands out for its skilful barrel vinification and the absence of malolactic fermentation, choices that enhance the elegance of the perlage and the pure expression of the terroir. The long ageing in wood and the low Extra Brut dosage impart excellent complexity, recognised with international awards.
