Description
What kind of wine it is
Timorasso Francesca is a still white wine that expresses the authenticity of the Timorasso grape variety. In the glass, it appears straw yellow in colour with bright gold-green highlights. The bouquet opens with notes of lily of the valley, blended with hints of gooseberry, citron peel, wild herbs and evocations of river stones. On the palate, it offers a soft and harmonious taste, led by lively fruity freshness that culminates in a citrusy finish. At the table, it proves ideal for accompanying lean fish dishes, trofie with pesto and cheeses.
Where it comes from
This white wine originates in Piedmont, within the Colli Tortonesi denomination. Production is overseen by Vigne Marina Coppi, an artisan winery that works exclusively with its own vineyards. The small size of just four hectares allows for meticulous care of the vines, with a limited annual production supervised by oenologist Gianfranco Cordero. The unique features of these hills give the wine a floral and herbaceous bouquet in the glass, combined with a pronounced mineral character on the palate.
How it is produced
The production of the wine begins with a selective manual harvest, essential for preserving the integrity and freshness of the fruit. The winemaking process aims to maintain aromatic clarity, balancing structural softness with the savoury progression typical of the variety. This care results in a white wine capable of evolving positively over time. To fully appreciate its nuances, it is recommended to serve at a temperature between 12 and 14°C.
