Description

What kind of wine it is

Patrizia Cadore Lugana is a still white wine from Lombardy, an authentic expression of the Trebbiano di Lugana grape variety, also known as Turbiana. In the glass, it displays a straw yellow hue enriched with subtle greenish highlights. The aromatic profile is elegant and well-defined, characterised by notes of tropical fruit, citrus, yellow-fleshed fruit and delicate white flowers. On the palate, it reveals a balanced structure and excellent savouriness, supported by a pronounced mineral imprint. The sip finishes flavourfully, closing with a clean and pleasantly almondy finish.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in Pozzolengo, within the historic Lugana area. Patrizia Cadore manages the estate's vineyards with dedication, using organic and sustainable farming practices. The soil is characterised by a varied combination of mainly calcareous clays rich in mineral salts, which give the product a distinctive lively taste. The estate's history, which began in Veneto at the end of the nineteenth century, settled permanently in this area from 1954, focusing entirely on the enhancement of the territory.

How it is produced

The process begins with a manual harvest, carrying out a rigorous selection of the best bunches in the field. This is followed by careful white vinification with temperature-controlled fermentation using selected yeasts. This precise technical management preserves the natural aromatic purity of the grapes, enhancing the citrus and floral profile. Ideal to serve at a temperature of 12-14 °C, the wine has a good propensity for ageing, with an estimated longevity of up to five years.

History and Curiosities

The roots of the Patrizia Cadore winery date back to the nineteenth century in Veneto, before becoming established, from 1954 onwards, in the Lombardy region of Lugana. Now led by Patrizia, her daughter, and oenologist Luigi Biemmi, the company combines a centuries-old vocation with the strict principles of organic farming. The 2024 vintage is the result of meticulous manual harvesting carried out across eight hectares of vineyards tended with dedication. Temperature-controlled vinification produces 70,000 bottles, expressing the essence of this historic family estate.

Cadore Winery is deeply proud of its origins, which date back to the late 1800s, when the family produced Torcolato wine from Vespaiola grapes in Mason Vicentino, in the province of Vicenza.

In 1954, the Cadore family purchased vineyards in the Lugana region, in the province of Brescia, where Adriano Cadore, together with his brothers, managed the estate for many years.

Since 2010, Adriano’s niece Patrizia, supported by a highly qualified team, has been running the winery with the same passion and dedication as her uncles, producing wines of exceptional quality. In 2016, Giada—Patrizia’s daughter—joined the team and is now learning every aspect of winery management. A promise of continuity for the Cadore vineyards in the years to come.
