Description

A dry white wine obtained from the rigorous harvest selection of Erbaluce grapes, hence the term La Rustia, which in local dialect means "roasted by the sun", and from the maniacal attention to detail in all phases of work in the cellar.

Story The history of Cantine Orsolani began in the late 1800s, when great-grandfather Giovanni and his wife Domenica returned from America, drawn by nostalgia for their homeland. They opened an inn 'Locanda Aurora' while great-grandmother did the work in the kitchen, Giovanni Orsolani worked in the countryside and in the cellar to produce the wine he needed. The success achieved meant that the winery grew and the next generation devoted all their time to this latter activity. The great commitment to the Erbaluce grape variety, however, began around '67 after the advent of the controlled designation of origin. The results of this work, based entirely on the search for quality, has brought the Orsolani cellars to a position of privilege over the last thirty years. Starting in 1968, with the first sparkling of Erbaluce, which was a great novelty in those years, the Orsolani Cellars obtained the D.O.C. certification for Spumante.
