GESCHICHTE
Die Geschichte der Vietti Kellerei geht bis ins 19. Jahrhundert zurück. Jedoch erst im 20. Jahrhundert wurde Vietti zu einer Kellerei, die ihren eigenen Wein abfüllt.

PHILOSOPHIE
Alfredo gehörte zu den Ersten, die Trauben aus Einzellagen selektierten und vinifizierten. Das war damals ein revolutionäres Konzept, doch heutzutage bietet fast jeder Winzer, der Barolo oder Barbaresco herstellt, Weine aus Einzellagen an.

Weinbereitung This vineyard is historically recognised as one of the most suitable for whole-grape winemaking. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with 60% whole bunch grapes; the remaining part is destemmed and crushed. After a few days of pre-fermentation cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place, which lasts approximately 3 weeks with some punching-downs and pumping-overs.
Reifung Malolactic fermentation takes place in wood barrels.
