The “I Tre Vescovi” Barbera d’Asti “Superiore” combines the values of this land with the expertise of the local winegrowers to produce a high-quality wine with good drinkability and an affordable price. For almost 20 years, this wine has not only been the flagship of the winery but also of the Barbera grapevine and the UNESCO World Heritage “Vineyard Landscapes of Piedmont.” Its name refers to the area amongst the towns of Acqui Terme, Alessandria, and Asti, an incredible Barbera terroir.

Complex spicy aroma with touches of cloves, pepper, eucalyptus, tobacco, vanilla, and caramel hints.

Dry, tasty, fruity wine with aromas of dried figs and an elegant finish.

Vinification After destemming and crushing the grapes, the must is sent to temperature-controlled stainless vats. The alcoholic fermentation and maceration last around 7 to 8 days at a constant temperature of 26°C to extract all typical aromas coming from the grape variety. During the maceration, automatic pumping over is carried out periodically to extract the polyphenolic substances from the skin.
Ageing At the end of alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation begins at a temperature of 18°C in stainless steel tanks. Once completed, the wine is aged in 75-hl French oak barrels and barriques where it rests for about 12 months. After a further month of ageing in stainless steel, the wine is put into the bottle, where it is refined for six months before marketing.
